Hike to the Neumeyer Frozen Lagoon: adventure in the snow and unique winter scenery

In the most special time of the winter, we propose a different kind of hike: a snowshoeing trip to the frozen lagoon of the Neumeyer Refuge, that hidden treasure between mountains and native trees in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Ideal for those who want to enjoy the nature of winter Patagonia first hand.

We start from Bariloche, transferring you in vehicles from key points on Bustillo Av. and Pioneros Av. to km 8. Once at the refuge, professional guides will welcome you for an adventure on snowshoes along snowy trails. The circuit crosses lenga forests, unique viewpoints and areas where the snow completely envelops you.

The walk goes all the way to the Frozen Lagoon, a refuge of calm and purity. There, a hot tea and a Patagonian alfajor awaits you, which you will savor while you rest surrounded by virgin nature. On the way back, a homemade lunch at the refuge will recharge your energy, and the day will end with fun downhill rides in culipatines for the whole family.

You can choose between two schedules: from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm or from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. It includes transfers from the meeting points, specialized guide, snowshoeing, full lunch, tea plus alfajor patagónico and recreation. Snow clothing and drinks during lunch are not included.

What clothes should I wear?
We recommend thermal clothing, waterproof footwear, gloves, hat and, if you have it, snow equipment. We provide you with everything you need for the snowshoeing trip.

Can I define the shift?
Of course. There are two options: morning (9:00 to 16:00) and afternoon (11:00 to 18:00). Choose the one that best suits you when booking and secure your place.

What's for lunch?
The menu includes starter, main course and dessert. Drinks are paid separately.

What happens in bad weather?
We manage the outing according to safety protocols. If the weather is complicated, we will let you know in time to reschedule or adjust the activity.
